Tata Motors has officially revealed the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift ahead of its market launch on May 22, 2025. This updated version of Tata’s popular premium hatchback brings new styling, more features, and an improved interior, while keeping the same reliable engine options. With this facelift, Tata aims to strengthen the Altroz’s position in the competitive hatchback segment.
Fresh Design with Modern Touches
The 2025 Altroz gets noticeable design updates that make it look more modern and stylish. The front now features a sharper grille, redesigned twin-pod LED headlamps, and eye-catching LED DRLs. The bumper has also been updated with vertical lines and new fog lamp housings.
One of the biggest visual changes is the new flush-type door handles, which now come with illumination. This not only adds a premium look but also improves aerodynamics. At the rear, there are connected LED tail lamps with a sleek T-shaped design, and a light bar that runs across the width of the car. The rear bumper also gets a new sporty finish.
More Premium and Tech-Packed Cabin
Inside the cabin, Tata has given the Altroz a major upgrade. The dashboard now has soft-touch materials and a new design layout. A large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is now standard on higher variants. This screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and gives the interior a more upmarket feel.
The Altroz also gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a feature that was earlier seen only in the Altroz Racer variant. Other new features include:
- Voice-assisted electric sunroof
- Two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo
- Ventilated front seats
- Wireless charger
- 360-degree camera system
- Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror
- Ambient lighting in the cabin
The updated cabin is now more spacious, comfortable, and driver-friendly.
Same Reliable Engine Options
The new Altroz continues to use the same engines as the outgoing model. It comes with multiple fuel options including petrol, diesel, turbo petrol, and CNG:
- 1.2-litre petrol – 88 PS and 115 Nm, with 5-speed manual or 6-speed DCT
- 1.2-litre turbo petrol – 120 PS and 170 Nm (Altroz Racer only), 6-speed manual
- 1.5-litre diesel – 90 PS and 200 Nm, 5-speed manual
- 1.2-litre CNG – 74 PS and 103 Nm, 5-speed manual
These options give buyers flexibility based on their driving needs and preferences.
Improved Safety Features
Safety has been a strong point for the Altroz, and this facelift only makes it better. It now offers up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and height-adjustable seat belts. The new 360-degree camera helps drivers park and maneuver more safely, especially in tight spots.
Competing with Popular Rivals
With these updates, the 2025 Tata Altroz is ready to take on tough competitors like the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai i20, and Toyota Glanza. While the prices are yet to be announced, it is expected to be slightly more expensive than the current version, considering all the new features.
