Honda Cars India has unveiled two major products for the Indian market – the refreshed Honda Launches New Honda City sedan and the all-new Honda ZR-V e:HEV premium hybrid SUV. The company calls them “Two Sporty Icons,” combining premium design, advanced technology, strong hybrid powertrains, and an engaging driving experience. The launch marks an important step in Honda’s growth strategy for India, with six strategic launches planned during 2026.
New Honda City Gets a Sportier Identity
The updated Honda City continues its legacy as one of India’s most popular premium sedans. Based on the “Sharpen” design philosophy, the new model features a more aggressive appearance, enhanced cabin features, and improved comfort.
At 4,594 mm long, the new City remains one of the longest sedans in its segment. The exterior receives redesigned LED headlamps with a Blade Eye Signature lighting system, a connected light bar integrated into the front grille, a new aerodynamic bumper, and a matrix-mesh black grille. At the rear, Z-edge LED tail lamps, a trunk lip spoiler, and a redesigned bumper enhance its sporty appeal.
The sedan rides on new 16-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and is available in six colour options, including the newly introduced Crystal Black Pearl shade.
Feature-Rich Interior with ADAS Safety
Inside, the new Honda City offers a premium ivory-and-black dual-tone cabin. It now features a larger 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, USB Type-C charging ports for both rows, and a 360-degree camera system.
Safety remains a strong focus with Honda SENSING ADAS technology, including:

Petrol and Hybrid Powertrain Options
Honda is offering the City with two engine choices.
The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency stands at 17.77 km/l for the manual version and 17.97 km/l for the CVT.
The e:HEV strong hybrid variant uses Honda’s self-charging two-motor hybrid system paired with an e-CVT transmission. The setup generates 126 PS and 253 Nm of torque while delivering an impressive fuel efficiency of 27.26 km/l.
